APPLE PIE OVERNIGHT OATS

Ingredients:

Apple Mixture:

1 cup diced apples 

2 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp maple syrup

1/2 tsp cinnamon 

1/4 tsp cayenne (optional)

1/2 lemon juiced 

 

Oats:

1 cup oats

1 cup almond milk

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp maple syrup 

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Dash or 2 of nutmeg

Dash or 2 of cinnamon 

Toasted almonds or walnuts

Directions:

Apples:

Heat apples, coconut oil and maple syrup in medium sized skillet over medium heat for 5-7 mins or until apples become soft. Add lemon juice, cinnamon and cayenne. Stir to coat eventually and heat for another 3 minutes. Remove from heat until ready to use.

 

Oats:

Add all ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Separate mixture between 3 mason jars and top with apple mixture.
